The annual complete auto recycling show (CARS) and Metal Recycling Equipment (MRE) was held on the 24-25th May 2023.
Scrap Local and the team went over to speak with like minded industry professionals, as well being finalists for 2 awards.
In this quick post we will discuss what we got up to!
During the first day, we went over to stoneleigh for a jam packed day.
We went to visit the many stalls at the event, which included Fuchs, Recycling Lives, EMR and Quick Cash payment.
As the weather was booming we spent the day speaking to some familiar faces and members.
Although no live demonstrations this year, we did enjoy the conversations we had and the talks with scrapyards looking for a system to manage their businesses like a pro!
The night of the awards ceremony was on the first day.
We were finalists for 2 awards – The up and coming star and the sustainable solutions award.
Sadly, we we runners up for both but it was a great achievement to be recognised for our efforts.
Big congratulations to all those who won.
Day 2 at the CARS and MRE show was a little quiet, however we managed to spend the rest of the day speaking to some more stalls, distributing leaflets and enjoying some sun before we went back to our head office.
The CARS and MRE Show 2023 was a great 2 days of networking with those in the industry, celebrating what the industry had to offer.
