Scrap Local’s Night At The National Recycling Awards

On the 8th December 2021, Scrap Local’s team got all dolled up and attended the MRW National Recycling Awards in London.

We were shortlisted as finalists for the Rising Star award earlier this year!

Whilst we didn’t bag a trophy, we are honoured to have been finalists for the UK’s most prestigious awards for businesses in both the recycling and resource management sectors.

Dressed To Impress: Day Preparations

The National Recycling Awards took place at the glamorous Hilton Park Lane Hotel.

Martin and Co woke at the crack of dawn to catch the next train down to London.

Several stops and cold coffees later, we arrived in England’s bustling capital city, retired to our hotel and rested before the ceremony started.

It was a proper black tie event so we had to look our best. There was no shortage of hairspray, perfume and makeup in the hotel and this was just for the guys!

Soon we were all glammed up and ready to go!

Ceremony Highlights

It was amazing to see so many organisations in resource management attending the National Recycling Awards.

Businesses both big and small met to be recognised for the innovative services they provide to inspire others to promote environmental welfare in the UK.

While we didn’t win the Rising Star award, we are honoured to have been shortlisted alongside so many talented people!

The fact that we were considered for such a prestigious award speaks volumes about the services we provide and how far we’ve come in this industry.

It was a huge honour to attend the National Recycling Awards and to have won the Rossendale Business Awards beforehand for the services we provide.

We hope to be shortlisted for more awards like this in the future!
